Three things to do this weekend

Three things to do this weekend

The wait is over! The weekend is finally here.

Does anyone else find that you spend your whole life waiting for the weekend, but then it comes and you can't think of a single thing to do? Guilty.

I spend too much of my time thinking of things to do, that I don't actually get to do any of the fun things I wanted too. Although I love my pyjamas and my bed will always be my soulmate, sometimes I just need to get out of the house, just so that when Monday roll around I can answer the question of 'did you do much this weekend?' without a blank expression.

Go for a good, old fashioned roast

There is something so underrated about a roast dinner, especially one from a pub. I think that is mainly because I hate washing up, but I love a pub roast dinner. My step mum and I went to The Old Gate a fortnight ago, and I stuffed myself with delicious roast lamb with all the trimmings. It was lovely.

See a film

Given that it is film award season, and there are so many different films out at the moment, I think a trip to the cinema would be a great way to spend the weekend. I know that it is so easy to just stream a movie from the comfort of your sofa these days, but get yourself out. Smell the popcorn!

Take a walk, get a coffee

I really love walking once I am doing it. It takes me a while to persuade myself to do it, but once I am out of the door and on my way I love it. The fresh air and light exercise never hurt anyone, and it is even better if there is a large cappuccino at the end of the tunnel! Mmmm. Coffee.

What are you up to this weekend?
