Guys, it is April. Easter has gone. We are a third of the way through the year. And it is Spring. What. On. Earth. Anyway, although I have having a mini meltdown about how fast time is going, March has been pretty darn good. I can't think of a single thing bad that happened. I spent lots of time with those that are closest to me, and I have had a lot of me time. I did have a monsterous Uni assignment but these things happen and well, it's best not to dwell on them too much.
Also this month, I have started to learn how to deal with being disappointed slightly. I mean, I can't be amazing at everything and that is okay.
Anyway, that is a story for another day so on to the favourites..
I have only watched one show this month to my recollection, good job it was a good one then ey? Good enough to go in a favourites post. The show I am talking about is Happy Valley and if you have been following my vlogs over the last few weeks you will see how I have been commenting on the series. I thought it was bloody fantastic.
Not only is it set where I live (and I promise it isn't as scary here as it looks on there) but the story, the writing and the acting were phenomenal. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that the last episode felt a little bit rushed, but I can forgive because it still has me sat on the edge of my seat. I don't know where you will be able to watch this now, maybe IPlayer but I'm not sure...
This was easily my favourite picture of the month, because I laughed so much and not only did it make me laugh when we took it, every time I have looked at the picture since I have burst out laughing. It my best friend and I, by the way. We always get asked if we are related, which we don't understand - and this proves that we look nothing alike.
In fact her face gives me a strange beard which is hilarious!
Those of you who have been following my Favourites for a while, may notice that a cheeky little 's' has snook on to the end of product. Well that is because I have two and I couldn't choose between them and they are both so different.
Firstly, is a skincare product. You might know this already, but until now I have been a total skincare novice. I have never really cared about it enough but this product has honestly changed my life. It takes my make-up off with in seconds and leaves my skin so so clean. I have been using it most of the month and I love it so much. I feel like my skin has become so much brighter and it just looks clearer and more flawless.
The next product is this Revlon Colorbust Matte Balm. Oh my, I am so in love with this product. The colour, the formula, the pepperminty smell. It is just perfection. On me it looks quite a darkish pink colour, almost like a slightly bolder nude colour. It looks matte but it is balmy enough to not be drying. I may have to do a whole post dedicated to my love for this beautiful product. (It is Sultry, FYI)
I don't think I have a person I have been obsessed with this month like in previous months. I have been loving Frock Me I'm Famous, as Hayley's photos are to die for and she really inspires me to take more outfit photos (which I have been doing!) I think I have been checking her blog everyday for new content and I am loving following her on her 12 countries in 12 months challenge.
Also, I really love Ella from Ella Olivia at the moment, her instagram game is strong! But again her blog is gorgeous and her fashion posts are amazing so go check her out.
And finally, I have been loving watching Alife Deyes vlogs, which surprised me a lot because it wasn't something I thought I would enjoy.. However, I like how he doesn't take life to seriously and he just has fun with what he is doing. That definitely inspires me to vlog and blog and whatever else, because you may as well have fun with it.
I picked up this coat at the end of February, and I am so obsessed with it. It is so lovely and easy to wear, and I just feel really classy when I have it on. But also, these double ripped skinny jeans are just life at the moment. I don't think I have worn much else in the jean department this month so I couldn't not include this outfit here.
I wonder if getting another pair would seem excessive...
I visited Splendid Kitchen in Manchester earlier on in March, and although I didn't take very many or very good photos so I couldn't do a full post of it.. I did get a few and it is still well worth a mention. I opted for a chicken burger with bacon, and pizza fries on the side. Ultimate naughty food, and it was so worth it because it was delicious!
I also had a 'proper cherry cola' cocktail - which was amazing! It was served in a glass coca-cola glass and tasted unreal, although very strong. If you are in MCR go and give this an explore.
My favourite thing that I did this month was actually on the same trip that I visited Splendid Kitchen. I went on a little weekend away to visit two of my oldest friends, one of these friends I hadn't seen in about 5 years and the other a year. It was a weekend filled with lots of catching up, food and drinking. Although we are all so different now, it was lovely to catch up and it was like no time had passed at all.
