Harrie Wears: Dungarees

DSC01170.jpg

DSC01170You may have seen here that I picked up some dungarees recently. I am not entirely sure what I was thinking, because I play it very safe with my outfit choices and this is definitely out of my comfort zone. I have never even tried a jumpsuit or anything, so walking into the changing rooms with these in hand was a little scary to say the least..

DSC01177However, as soon as I put them on I fell in love. It was like they were made for me, they just fitted perfectly. They have this band around the lower stomach that keeps all my unwanted wobbly bits away and makes me feel really comfortable.

On the leg the cut is very straight which means you don't really feel them and it gives them a more flattering shape.

They almost feel like the 'MOM' version of dungarees. DSC01179When I tried them on I took this lightweight pale blue stripy top with me, and I just thought they looked really cute together. So I bought that too.

I just think that it makes for the perfect transitional outfit for spring. The top makes it light and cool, but the material of the dungarees mean that it still quite warm. I paired it with some plain white pumps just to carry on that casual vibe I was going for, but I also think some loafers would work really well. DSC01181One of my favourite things about the dungarees is the raw edging around the bottom and the pockets. It just gives it a much more casual vibe, but still really trendy and easy to wear. The pockets are just big enough for my iPhone which is always good.

I can see myself wearing this on nice spring walks, or just days where we grab some breakfast and chill out. DSC01183

I have learnt that I need to get out of my comfort zone more often, because sometimes it works out really well!

What do you think to dungarees?
