May is a funny month. I spent the first half of the month worrying if I would need to defrost my car in the morning, and the second half worrying if I will melt from the heat.
It's been one of those months where I have felt exhausted from being really busy then the next day I will be spending of time wondering what to do next. I now feel ready for the new month of June, but before we get into the swing of things I thought I would share a few highlights from May.
BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND
The best thing about May must be the fact that we get two, yes two, bank holiday weekends. The first bank holiday weekend went past in a little bit of a blur. However, the second one was definitely well spent. We headed off to the east coast for three nights, staying in a lovely house, and making plenty of trips to the beach. The amount of fish and chips that we consumed was a little bit embarrassing, but delicious non-the-less. Sometimes a few nights away is exactly what you need to recharge.
THE SUMMER LULL
This is very specific to me, and the work I do, but May see's the industry I work in come to a bit of a close for a couple of months. Which means that most of May was spent being hectic finishing off the year, but the last week or so has been quite peaceful and has meant we can reflect on what we can do to improve for when things pick up again. I really like these periods of not being so busy that you can't focus properly, and feel so ready to start planning properly.
I finished my second year of uni *insert dancy face*. This year has been really hard, and I have definitely felt the struggle of juggling work and study. However, I finished! I managed to muddle through it, with better marks than last year too, which is always a bonus. I am officially half-way through my course now which makes me nervous, excited and extremely proud!
Now, let's crack on with JUNE!
