I always find myself giving myself a big old pat on the back when I see something in store and decide not to buy it there and then because you are worried that it will be one of those impulse buys that you wear once and then it gets buried at the back of your wardrobe.
I have been trying really hard to minimise my wardrobe of late, and only have items in there that I will get lots of wear out of and that are really versatile pieces. Before getting my purse out to purchase the newest ASOS trend, I have been turning to my wardrobe to make outfits from items I already own. Best of all, I have been loving what is already in there so much that I haven't really been wanting to buy anything new, other than the odd basic here and there. I feel as though my wardrobe is really coming along, and I am finally finding my personal style.
However, the problem comes when you see something in store and can't stop thinking about it. You find yourself pondering different outfits you could wear with it, and stalking instagram to see how others are styling it up.
This is what happened with these Topshop loafers.
Yes, I know that they are copies of the Gucci ones, but lets be real and not pretend like the Gucci ones were ever going to be on my radar. However, I think I actually prefer the Topshop ones. (They're just not quite as in your face).
Unfortunately for me, the whole world also loved them, and I just couldn't stop seeing them everywhere I went. So I caved and purchased them, and I cannot wait to get out this weekend and wear them. I love loafers anyway, and are a staple in my wardrobe during the summer months where boots are no longer appropriate.
Here's a few of my favourite ways to style them up...
